State Senator Steve McClure (R-Springfield) has once again been named a “Friend of Agriculture” by the Illinois Farm Bureau in recognition of his support for Illinois farmers and the state’s agriculture industry.
“Agriculture is crucial to Illinois’ economy, especially in the communities I represent,” said Senator McClure. “The decisions we make in Springfield have real consequences for the farmers who feed our families and keep our economy moving. I’m proud to stand with them and make sure their voices are heard in the Illinois Senate.”
The Illinois Farm Bureau’s Friend of Agriculture Award recognizes lawmakers who have shown a strong commitment to farmers and the agriculture industry through their work in the General Assembly. The award highlights legislators who understand the importance of agriculture to Illinois and the role farmers play in producing food and fuel for communities across the state and beyond.
Throughout his time in the General Assembly, Senator McClure has maintained a strong pro-agriculture voting record while working directly with farmers and agriculture leaders throughout central Illinois.
Senator McClure says he will continue standing with Illinois farmers and making sure the agriculture community has a strong voice in Springfield.
