State Senator Steve McClure (R-Springfield) released the following statement regarding the passage of SB2412:
“It’s ironic that this bill contains an election interference referendum, because the legislation itself interferes with an ongoing election. Previously, Democrat legislators picked their voters with partisan gerrymandered maps, now they want to pick their opponents. This bill is a campaign donation to every incumbent Senator and Representative that is on the ballot across the state.”
