State Senator Steve McClure (R-Springfield) released the following statement in response to Governor Pritzker signing partisan legislative maps:
“I’m extremely disappointed in Governor Pritzker for breaking his promise to the people of this state. These are partisan maps drawn by self-serving politicians who ignored the testimony from good government groups and communities of interest. During this entire process, there was no transparency, the people were ignored, and this was done in a way that was bad for our government.”
